Marbella Mayor, Ángeles Muñoz, Responds to Conspiracy Theory Allegations
The Mayor of Marbella, Ángeles Muñoz, has revived conspiracy theory allegations this Thursday in response to the Anti-Drug Prosecutor’s request for a 22-year prison sentence for her stepson, Joakim Broberg. She believes the matter has come to light due to the elections in Galicia and insists that it has nothing to do with her or the City Council.
Unexpected Plot Twist in the Swedish Scandal
In an unexpected plot twist, or perhaps not so much, she stated that the Public Prosecutor’s document has come to light because of the elections in Galicia. She continues to deny any connection between this matter and the City Council, a claim that is not true, or with her, which is also false.
Muñoz’s Statements to the Media
Muñoz made statements to the microphones of La Sexta and also, in response to media questions, during the inauguration of the Job Fair. In both cases, she spoke little, in a confusing manner, perhaps due to nervousness, and did not offer much explanation, beyond denying everything and suggesting a conspiracy.
Claims of Political Persecution
Muñoz continues to defend herself with the theory of political persecution, after not having given any explanation since the controversy erupted. As we have already reported, there are police reports that recommended judges to investigate the Marbella City Council, an institution that Joakim Broberg was considered to treat as his own.
Allegations of Corruption and Money Laundering
In addition, there is a municipal police officer, who was Muñoz’s escort for many years, who is accused of bribery for providing confidential information to ‘narcos’. Finally, there are two companies implicated in the plot as alleged money laundering instruments that contracted works with the City Council.
