Marbella City Council Implements New Document Management Platform
The Marbella City Council is currently implementing its own document management platform. The aim is to streamline administrative procedures and the processing of files. As a result, the Provincial Council’s Help system will be replaced by the Gestiona tool, which is strictly municipal.
Transition to New System May Cause Incidents
Municipal spokesperson, Félix Romero, has indicated that during the transition to the new system next week, there may be some incidents. However, he assured that all precautions have been taken to respond to urgent matters. The new system will manage all administrative processes, such as urban planning files and calls for government boards, plenary sessions or informative commissions.
New Platform Offers Greater Capacity and Versatility
Romero detailed that the new platform has a greater capacity for storing voluminous documents and is more versatile. The municipal technical services believed it was better to transition to a more modern document management tool that was entirely owned by the City Council.
Local Government Board Meeting May Be Postponed
As a result of this migration, it is expected that the regular Local Government Board meeting that takes place every Tuesday may not be held next week.
Urban Planning Licenses Approved
On another note, Romero informed that urban planning licenses worth more than 17 million euros of investment have been approved today. Notable projects include the construction of five single-family homes, with a budget of 5.7 million euros, and the account of 40 responsible declaration files, with an amount of 1.3 million euros.
