Remedios Bocanegra, the advisor for Resident Foreigners, has today introduced the Andalusian and Extremaduran Leonistic Days. The event will be held at the Adolfo Suárez Congress Palace in Marbella from February 16 to 18. The gathering is organized by the German-speaking Lions Club and will focus on the impacts of climate change, as informed on Monday.

The Adolfo Suárez Congress Palace in Marbella will host the XLVIII Andalusian and Extremaduran Leonistic Days. The event, organized by the German-speaking Lions Club, will bring together over a hundred delegates from Spain and other countries. The municipal official expressed immense satisfaction for the city to host such an event.
Climate Change to be Discussed by Experts
The event will address the significant issue of climate change, with experts leading the discussion. In addition to participating in the working tables, attendees will also have the opportunity to enjoy guided tours to the main points of interest in the city.

The event will analyze possible strategies to tackle climate change, especially focusing on younger generations. The discussions will feature professionals from organizations such as Infoca or the local Arboretum association.
Mission 1.5: A Challenge to Reach 1.5 Million Members by 2027
Another focus of the event will be Mission 1.5, a challenge set by the entity, which currently has 45,000 clubs in 210 countries, to reach 1.5 million members by 2027.
Peace Poster Exhibition by German School Students
The Congress Palace will also host a peace poster exhibition by students of the German School from February 15 to 19.

Bocanegra announced that the next activities organized by the delegation will be the reception of members of the board of directors of the local association of Ireland on March 15. In addition, the celebration of St. Patrick’s Day on March 17 at the Fontanilla roundabout, a space that will also host the ‘Bulgaria sings and dances’ event on March 16.
