Costa Women Celebrate International Women’s Day with 11th Annual Conference
The 11th annual Costa Women ‘Make it happen by being you’ conference was held on Friday, 8th March, in honor of International Women’s Day. The event saw the participation of approximately 140 women from both foreign and Spanish communities residing in Costa del Sol and beyond. The conference was kicked off with a networking evening on Thursday, 7th March.
Conference Hosted by Costa Women Founder and The Menopause School Creator
The conference was presided over by Costa Women founder, Ali Meehan, and Fiona Catchpowle, the creator and founder of The Menopause School. The chosen charity for this year’s event was Collective Calling, a Marbella-based organization that runs projects in Spain and Africa to aid children and adults.
International Speakers Discuss Various Topics
The conference began with a short talk by Gemma Carr from Collective Calling about the charity’s projects and the raffle prizes available to raise funds. This was followed by presentations from 13 international speakers. The morning session covered a variety of topics, including authenticity in client relationships, confidence in visionary ideas, training for those interested in real estate, managing different personality types in sales and marketing, and balancing love, life, and business.
Afternoon Session Focuses on Social Media and Workspace Optimization
Following a vegetarian lunch and networking opportunity, the conference resumed with talks on maximizing social media and creating the ideal workspace using the senses. The final speaker, qualified clinical hypnotherapist Sandie Ashing, provided an insight into the world of hypnotherapy and shared some relaxation techniques.

Ali Meehan expressed her gratitude to all those who contributed to the success of the conference. She emphasized that the day was truly about the women who attended the conference and their unique contributions to their businesses in Spain.
