Free Entrepreneurship Course Launched by AJE and Marbella City Council
This morning, Teo Bravo, Princesa Sánchez, Alejandro Freijo, and Lorenzo Costantini announced a new initiative. The Association of Young Entrepreneurs of Malaga (AJE) and the Marbella City Council are launching a free entrepreneurship course. The course will run for three months, from March 21 to June 21, at the Our Space coworking area located in the Oasis Business Center. The course will take place on Thursdays and will offer fifteen spots.
Course Details and Key Participants
The course director, Teo Bravo, the general secretary of AJE, Princesa Sánchez, the manager of Our Space, Lorenzo Costantini, and the Economic Development Advisor, Alejandro Freijo, were present at the announcement. The course will offer fifteen spots and will run on Thursdays from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM. The course will cover practical content ranging from how to register as a self-employed individual and issue invoices to how to develop a business plan, secure financing, or attract customers.
Course Rewards and Selection Process
The student who presents the most viable entrepreneurship project will be rewarded with three months of free accommodation at Our Space. Teo Bravo detailed to the media that a preliminary selection will be made among all the registrants, which will include a personal interview. He also indicated that the methodology will be very enjoyable, colloquial, and close, paying attention to the psychological and emotional factor, and mentoring will be provided to all students.
Supporting Entrepreneurs for Over Three Decades
Princesa Sánchez explained that AJE has been working in this field for more than three decades, supporting entrepreneurs from the start of their journey and also closely monitoring their consolidation. She highlighted that this initiative aims to strengthen the capacity of entrepreneurs who, in many cases, are forced to become entrepreneurs more out of necessity than vocation when they cannot find their place in the job market.
Continuing to Offer Tools for Success
Sánchez also emphasized the importance of continuing to offer training tools to people interested in realizing their projects, as it cannot be forgotten that 60% of companies disappear before reaching five years. Lorenzo Costantini expressed his satisfaction at the possibility of hosting in the facilities of Our Space a program that they believe will be very inspiring for all attendees because it will provide very useful resources from experts in the field.
Improving Competencies and Basic Skills
Municipal advisor Alejandro Freijo pointed out that this is a very exciting proposal whose main objective is to improve the competencies and basic skills of students so that they can more confidently launch their business projects. He also highlighted that in 2023, more than 400 self-employed individuals have registered in the town, a figure that has risen to 1,400 in the last year and a half, thanks to the efforts of the business sector.
