Marbella Climbing Club Dominates the Malaga Nordic Walking Selection
The Marbella Climbing Club (CEM) has dominated the selection for the Malaga Nordic Walking team for school-age children. The team will participate in the upcoming Andalusian Nordic Walking Championship for school-age children (CADEBA) next weekend. The selected members from Marbella are Iris Morales, Daniela Quebrajo, Claudia Muñoz, Lucas Gámez, Miguel Ángel Escobar, Adrián Mancilla, Sofía Lobato, Lola Urbano, Alba Mera, Manuel Lobato, Sergio Castro, and Germán Marín.
CEM to be the Main Highlight of Provincial Selections
Once again, the Marbella Climbing Club will be the main highlight of the provincial selections. The Malaga Nordic Walking team for school-age children is entirely composed of young walkers from CEM. The selected members from the Marbella club who are part of the Malaga team will compete in the Andalusian Nordic Walking Championship for school-age children (CADEBA) next weekend. The championship will take place in Guillena (Sevilla) at both individual and provincial team levels.
María Maestro, the Selector, Calls Cadets and Children for the Upcoming Tournament
María Maestro, the selector and also a member of CEM, has called the cadets Iris Morales, Daniela Quebrajo, Claudia Muñoz, Lucas Gámez, Miguel Ángel Escobar, and Adrián Mancilla, and the children Sofía Lobato, Lola Urbano, Alba Mera, Manuel Lobato, Sergio Castro, and Germán Marín for the upcoming tournament. Maestro is confident that the team will achieve a good position in both the mixed relay race to be held on Saturday afternoon (five kilometers per pair, 2.5 km per walker) and the line race to be held on Sunday morning (children will do two laps of a 2.700-meter circuit and cadets will do three laps of the same circuit).
Malaga Selection Also Aspires to Achieve Good Individual Results
In addition to being the Andalusian Championship of Provincial Teams, the event is also the Individual Andalusian Championship. The Malaga selection also aspires to achieve good results from the athletes at an individual level. The CEM members who will be part of the Malaga children’s selection have been called.
