Marbella City Council Approves Development Studies in Xarblanca and Nueva Andalucía
The Local Government Board of Marbella City Council has approved two urban development studies in the areas of Xarblanca and Nueva Andalucía on Tuesday. The first case involves the construction of 138 homes, while the second case is for a commercial area of over 4,000 square meters in La Campana.
Details of the Urban Development Studies
The post-meeting press conference of the Local Government Board primarily informed about urban planning matters, including these two development studies. One study is in Xarblanca, on a land area of 14,760 square meters, where the construction of 138 homes is planned. The conditions for this include allocating 4,000 square meters for public use, including roads and unspecified public facilities.
Green Light for Commercial Development in Nueva Andalucía
The initiation of the development of 4,335 square meters in the Nueva Andalucía area for the construction of a commercial surface has also been approved. There will also be space for green areas and roads, all in La Campana.
Next Steps for the Approved Developments
Both actions will now be forwarded to the Environment Department of the Andalusian Government for environmental study and will be subjected to public display before proceeding to initial approval.
Collaboration Agreement for Mediation Center
In other news, a collaboration agreement has been approved, in which the City Council will cede the use of a municipal premises on José Iturbi Street to the Employment Department of the Andalusian Government for the service of the Mediation, Arbitration and Conciliation Center (CMAC). This will allow issues to be resolved without applicants having to travel to Malaga. The agreement is valid for one year and is a pilot experience with the intention of it being a long-term arrangement.
