Two Men Arrested for Alleged Stabbing and Robbery of Taxi Driver in Marbella
In a shocking incident in Marbella, police have apprehended two men on charges of stabbing a taxi driver and stealing his mobile phone. The suspects reportedly boarded the taxi around 4.40am on Sunday, 23 June. One of them took the front passenger seat while the other sat in the back.
Attempted Snatch and Stab Incident
As per the details provided, the 43-year-old taxi driver was asked to stop at a specific location by the passengers. The man seated next to him attempted to grab his mobile phone. The driver reacted instinctively, seizing the man’s hand in an attempt to prevent the theft. However, the suspect allegedly retaliated by drawing a knife with his free hand.
Driver Suffers Stab Wound, Undergoes Surgery
Sources reveal that the suspect attempted to stab the driver in the chest. The driver managed to block the attack, but sustained a stab wound to his hand in the process. Following the attack, the two men absconded with the driver’s mobile phone. The driver had to undergo surgery due to several severed ligaments sustained during the assault.
