Netflix, the streaming giant, has started filming for its new mythical drama, ‘Kaos’, in Marbella. The film set has been established in the Costa del Sol region, known for its exclusive residential developments. However, Netflix has remained tight-lipped about the details of the new filming and releases.

On June 4, residents of Los Altos de Marbella reported seeing dozens of caravans, trailers, and cars heading towards a mansion. A temporary car park was also set up on nearby land. To maintain secrecy, huge fences have been erected around the mansion’s perimeter.

Hugh Grant to Star in the New Netflix Series

The series, which was commissioned in 2018, is still awaiting its release. It is described as a genre-bending series that puts a modern twist on Greek and Roman mythology. The series explores themes of gender politics, power, and life in the underworld. The cast includes Janet McTeer, Nabhaan Rizwa, Cliff Curtis, and Hugh Grant. Grant, who owns a luxurious pad in La Zagaleta, will be playing the Greek god Zeus in the series.

Filming Locations Extend Beyond Marbella

The filming of the series is not only a boon for the Costa del Sol but also for other locations including Axarquía, Malaga city, and Sevilla. Madrid and Valencia will also serve as filming spots in the final months of the series’ production.
