Vulture Spotted in Marbella’s Luxury Marina
In an unusual incident, a 2.5 metre vulture was spotted by several tourists in Marbella’s luxury marina, Puerto Banus. The sighting of the carrion bird in such a populated area led to the intervention of the national police officers.
Police Officers Rescue the Vulture
Upon receiving advice from specialists, the two officers used their patrol car to transport the vulture. The bird was taken to the nearby Sierra de las Nieves natural park, a more suitable habitat for it. The officers managed to secure the vulture in the back passenger seat of their patrol car, providing it a lift back to its natural ‘home’.

Upon reaching the natural park, the bird seemed in no hurry to leave the comfort of the patrol car. The officers had to wait for around 10 minutes before the vulture finally decided to stretch its wings and fly away.
