Marbella to Attend London’s World Travel Market
The city of Marbella has announced its participation in the World Travel Market in London. The city’s presence at the event, however, does not seem to be accompanied by many new ideas, beyond the obvious goal of “consolidating the destination in the British market”. The campaign is titled “The place you’ve always dreamed of”, but no specific actions have been detailed.
London Tourism Fair: A Key Event for Marbella
The London tourism fair, one of the benchmark events in Europe, will take place from November 6 to 8 and is always of great interest to Marbella. This morning, it was reported that the Tourism delegation, led by Mayor Ángeles Muñoz, will carry out an intense schedule of activities with tour operators, agents in the field of new technologies, and sector institutions. However, no details were given this morning at the press conference by the general directors of the sector in Marbella and San Pedro Alcántara, Laura de Arce and Rubén Sánchez, respectively.
Marbella’s Promotion at the Tourism Fairs
De Arce reminded that this event, along with FITUR, is the most important for promoting Marbella in the field of tourism fairs. She added that, in this edition, the presence in London will be extended until Thursday, November 9, with the city’s participation in an event organized by the Spanish Luxury Association, where the municipality will present its offer. The town will also be present in the campaigns of both Andalusia and the Costa del Sol.
Marbella’s Campaign: “The Place You’ve Always Dreamed Of”
On his part, Rubén Sánchez pointed out that “we are traveling to London with our campaign ‘The place you’ve always dreamed of'”. He highlighted the importance of this market for the municipality, “as evidenced by the fact that there are 17 British cities with direct connection to Malaga International Airport”. He also emphasized “the sustainability offered by a destination like ours, which is highly valued by visitors from that country”.
