Irishman Injured in Costa del Sol Shooting
A 24-year-old Irishman has been reported injured following a gun attack on the Costa del Sol. The incident occurred on Tuesday afternoon, September 20, near a luxury golf course in Marbella. The Emergency Coordination Center 112 received a call around 5:45pm, alerting them to gunshots in the area.
Emergency Services Respond to Shooting Alert
Upon receiving the alert, police and medical services were immediately dispatched to the scene. However, upon their arrival, there was no sign of any victims or evidence of the shooting. The victim, a young Irishman, had already been transported to the Costa del Sol hospital in Marbella, either by himself or with the assistance of another individual.
Victim Suffers Serious Injury
The victim had sustained a gunshot wound to his side, resulting in an entry and exit wound in his ribs. Despite the severity of his injuries, sources have indicated that his life is not believed to be in danger.
Criminal Investigation Underway
A criminal investigation has been launched to uncover the details surrounding the crime. No arrests have been made as of yet. The motive behind the shooting remains unclear, but investigators are considering the possibility of a revenge attack.

This incident follows a previous shooting that took place in Marbella in the early hours of Monday, July 18, at the Opium Beach Club, one of the city’s most exclusive nightclubs. That attack resulted in five people being injured and three arrests.
