Announcement of the 24th Annual Processional Marches Contest in Marbella
The 24th edition of the “City of Marbella” Processional Marches Contest is set to take place this coming Saturday. The event has firmly established itself as one of the pre-Easter festivities in the city.
Event Details and Performances
The contest will be held at the Plaza de Los Naranjos, featuring performances from seven musical groups. The Brotherhood of Christ of Love will set up a bar offering food and drinks. The event will commence at 1:00 PM on Saturday, February 24, in front of the Santiago hermitage, where a stage and seating for attendees have been arranged.
Participating Bands
Seven bands will be performing, including the Marbella Musical Group. Other participants include the San Barbara Trumpets and Drums Band (La Línea de la Concepción), Our Lady of the Incarnation Trumpets and Drums (El Burgo), Las Lagunas Musical Group (Málaga), Nazarene Band of the Towers (Álora), Jesus Nazarene Band (Villanueva de Tapia), and the “Maestro Vitito” Cultural Musical Association (Casariche).
Event Organizers and Offerings
The Brotherhood of Christ of Love in Marbella, which has organized the contest for another year, will provide a bar for attendees with food, paella, and drinks.
Closing Ceremony
To conclude the event, there will be a fraternal gathering between the Marbella musical groups, with over 50 years of history, and Las Lagunas, with nearly 40 years of history. These groups will also be the last to perform. This event is one of the pre-Easter festivities in Marbella that usually takes place about a month prior.

The performance schedule for the bands is as follows: 1:00 PM: Nazarene Music Band of the Towers (Álora – Málaga), 1:45 PM: Jesus Nazarene Music Band (Villanueva del Tapia – Málaga), 2:30 PM: Trumpets and Drums El Burgo (Málaga), 3:15 PM: “Maestro Vitito” Cultural Musical Association (Casariche – Sevilla), 4:00 PM: San Barbara Trumpets and Drums (La Línea – Cádiz), 4:45 PM: Marbella Musical Group, 5:30 PM: Las Lagunas Musical Group (Málaga), 6:15 PM: Marbella – Las Lagunas Brotherhood.
