Marbella City Council Opens Grant Applications for Non-Profit Associations
Alejandro González, the Youth Councilor, has announced that the Marbella City Council has opened the application period for the 2024 grant call for non-profit associations in the municipality. The deadline for applications is set for April 9. A total of 14,000 euros will be distributed, with a limit of 3,500 euros per project submitted. There will also be assistance available for excursions.
Details of the Grant Call Published
The grant call was published in the Official Bulletin of the Province of Malaga (Bopma) on March 25, and the application period began the following day, lasting for fifteen calendar days. The City Council did not provide information until Tuesday, April 2, and has not detailed the total amount, which is 14,000 euros, the same as the previous year.
Growth in Youth Interest in Association Registration
Youth Councilor, Alejandro González, explained that there is a growing movement, as more and more young people are interested in registering as an association. Currently, there are three more in the process of being established. Members of the youth associations must be between 17 and 31 years old, and the aim is to launch leisure, cultural or sports activities that take place in the town.
Criteria for Grant Allocation
Depending on the project they present and based on criteria such as the number of members, social relevance, attention to functional diversity, and the inclusion of equality or environmental plans, they may receive a grant of up to 3,500 euros. The delegation also subsidizes the bus transfer for the excursions they carry out, up to a maximum of 300 euros.
