During a press conference on Wednesday, Djokovic shared his fondness for Spain’s Costa del Sol. He stated that he feels at home in this region. He praised Malaga and Andalusia, highlighting their beauty, ideal climate, friendly people, and delicious food. Djokovic’s Pandemic Stay in Marbella
Djokovic spent the pandemic in Marbella, residing in a large mansion in Sierra Blanca, one of Spain’s most exclusive areas. He was so taken with the €10 million house he was renting that he decided to purchase it. The house came with a built-in tennis court, which allowed him to continue his training during the pandemic, as reported by sports paper Marca.
Pre-Season Training and Local Coach
Djokovic will be conducting part of his pre-season training in Marbella. Interestingly, one of his coaches, Carlos Gomez-Herrera, is a local.
Djokovic’s Other Residences and Training Destinations
Apart from Marbella, Djokovic also has a residence in Monaco and spends time in his home city of Belgrade, as per Diario Cordoba. However, Marbella has become one of his regular destinations for both training and living.
Brother Marko’s Life in Marbella
Djokovic’s younger brother, Marko, also resides in Marbella. He works as a tennis coach at a tennis academy in the Puente Romano Beach Resort.
