Cookie and Browser Storage Policy
Last updated: 3 August 2026.
Marbella Daily currently uses only technical cookies and browser storage needed to operate the website, protect sessions and remember choices made on the same device. Analytics, advertising and social-tracking technologies are not active.
Current technologies
- PHPSESSID: a first-party technical session cookie used by the site’s server-side session handling. It normally expires when the browser session ends.
- WordPress authentication and settings cookies: cookies such as
wordpress_sec_*,wordpress_logged_in_*,wordpress_test_cookieandwp-settings-*may be used when an authorised user signs in. They support authentication, security and interface settings; duration ranges from the browser session to the selected login period, while settings preferences may remain for up to one year. - Comment preference cookies: if a visitor chooses to save comment details, WordPress may store first-party
comment_author_*preferences for up to one year. - My Marbella local storage:
md_my_marbella_preferences_v1stores selected areas, topics, notification interests and a save date;md_my_marbella_last_visit_v1stores the last visit time used by the browser experience. These stay on the device until the visitor uses “Clear preferences” or clears browser site data. The current feature does not send those choices to Marbella Daily.
Technologies that are not active
Google Site Kit, StatCounter, legacy Google Tag Manager output and Rank Math analytics output are disabled. No advertising cookie or connected social-distribution account is active. The newsletter page does not currently place a visitor on a mailing list.
Consent and controls
Strictly necessary technologies do not require consent because the requested service cannot operate securely without them. Marbella Daily will obtain consent before enabling non-essential analytics, advertising or similar tracking where the law requires it. You can clear My Marbella choices on the preferences page and can remove or block browser cookies and site data through browser settings; blocking essential cookies may prevent login or other requested functions.
