A Marbella beach club can welcome children without giving them access to its pool. That distinction matters when planning a family day. This guide compares the child, pool and booking rules that venues published for the 2026 season, so parents can choose the right type of visit before paying for a bed or table.

This is not a ranking. Policies differ by area, time of week and event, and special-event rules can replace the normal policy. Treat the information below as a planning guide, then confirm the exact date, ages and facilities directly with the venue before booking.

Family access at a glance

VenueWhat the official policy saysMain point for parents
Marbella ClubYear-round Kids Club; children aged 4 to 12 may attend independently, while under-fours need an accompanying adult or guardian. The club publishes separate 2026 summer calendars.Ask separately about Kids Club, Beach Club restaurant and pool or sunbed access. They are not one combined day pass.
Puente RomanoLa Casita runs year-round seasonal programmes, with a heated pool and supervised activities. Children under four need a nanny or dedicated caregiver.Confirm whether the child is eligible as a hotel guest or non-resident. Chiringuito publishes a kids’ menu, but that does not automatically include pool or Kids Club access.
La Sala by the SeaChildren are welcome on beach beds and in the restaurant. Under-14s are not allowed on pool beds or in the pool area.Book the beach or restaurant, not the pool, when visiting with a child under 14.
Nikki Beach MarbellaFamilies with children are welcome in the restaurant and beach area. Minors must stay with a parent or legal guardian. Pool access with a pool-and-beach reservation is guaranteed only to guests over 18, and some events may be 21+.Choose the restaurant or beach area and verify that no special-event age rule applies that day.
Ocean Club MarbellaThe 2026 terms call it a family venue and recommend weekdays for young children because weekends attract more large groups. Opening and closing parties are strictly 18+.A weekday is the venue’s own recommendation for younger families. Check the event calendar before paying.
Amàre MarbellaThe hotel’s current FAQ describes Amàre Marbella as adults only.Do not assume its beach or pool product is suitable for a family booking. Ask the hotel directly if a specific external service has different terms.

Which option fits your family?

For organised children’s activities: Marbella Club

Marbella Club’s strongest family feature is its dedicated Kids Club rather than a general claim that every beach-club facility is open to every child. The hotel says the programme operates throughout the year and includes sports, gardening, nature activities, science, creative workshops and time by the shore. Its current access notes say children aged 4 to 12 can attend without a parent. A three-year-old may be admitted during some seasons, while children under four must be accompanied.

The Kids Club page also says memberships can be available to non-residents, but that does not mean a Kids Club booking includes a Beach Club sunbed or pool. Marbella Club’s FAQ says pool and pool-adjacent sun loungers are included for hotel guests. A non-resident family should therefore ask three separate questions: can the child attend the Kids Club, can the family reserve the Beach Club restaurant, and is any pool or sunbed access included?

For a resort stay with children and teenagers: Puente Romano

Puente Romano’s La Casita Kids Club publishes a year-round programme that changes by season. Activities listed by the resort include games, tennis, swimming in a heated pool, crafts, cooking, treasure hunts and films. Children under four must have a nanny or dedicated caregiver. The resort also has a Teen Spirit Lounge for ages 13 to 18.

For food by the sea, Chiringuito has a separate kids’ menu on its current page. Families should not read that as permission to use every resort pool or La Casita. Eligibility, advance-booking requirements and any guest-only conditions should be confirmed directly for the day of the visit.

For beach beds and lunch near Puerto Banús: La Sala by the Sea

La Sala by the Sea publishes one of the clearest child policies in Marbella. Children are welcome on its beach beds and in the restaurant, but guests under 14 may not use the pool beds or swimming-pool area. The venue also says only guests with a bed booking may use the pool.

This makes the venue workable for a family that wants a reserved beach base and restaurant service, provided nobody expects the children to swim in the club pool. Tell the reservations team the children’s ages and ask for a beach-bed location before paying.

For restaurant or beach access in Elviria: Nikki Beach Marbella

Nikki Beach’s 2026 door policy welcomes families with children in the restaurant and beach area. A parent or legal guardian must accompany minors at all times. The same policy says pool access is guaranteed to over-18s with pool-and-beach reservations, and that selected special events may impose a 21+ rule.

The practical choice for a family is a restaurant or beach reservation on a day without an age-restricted event. Ask the venue to confirm the exact zone included in the booking and whether the event programme changes normal admission.

For a weekday pool-club visit: Ocean Club Marbella

Ocean Club’s 2026 terms describe the venue as family friendly but specifically recommend weekdays for visitors with young children because weekends bring more large groups. Its opening and closing parties are 18+.

This is not a promise that every date, bed category or event suits every age. Send the children’s ages with the reservation enquiry and ask whether the chosen date has an event-specific rule. The venue’s published terms also say bed reservations require full pre-payment and can carry additional weekend minimum-spend conditions, so read the live package details before booking.

Five questions to ask before paying

  1. Are children of these exact ages admitted on this date? Give ages rather than asking only whether the club is “family friendly.”
  2. Which zone does the booking include? Restaurant, beach bed, pool bed, pool and Kids Club may all have different rules.
  3. Is this a normal day or a special event? An event can bring a higher minimum age, ticket or different arrival time.
  4. What is prepaid and what is extra? Ask whether the amount covers the bed only, includes food-and-drink credit or carries a separate minimum spend.
  5. What happens if plans change? Read cancellation, no-show, weather and credit-voucher terms before authorising payment.

A simpler alternative: public beach plus a chiringuito

If pool access and organised entertainment are not essential, a public beach and a separate beachfront restaurant may be easier than a full beach-club booking. Marbella Tourism maintains official directories for both beach clubs and chiringuitos, the local name for informal beach restaurants. Check accessibility, toilets, shade and seasonal lifeguard information for the exact beach before travelling.
