Jesus Rios Shines in Jerez with Two Victories

Jesus Rios, from Marbella, has kicked off a new season in the Spanish Superbike Championship in grand style. The first date on the calendar took place at the Angel Nieto circuit in Jerez, where Rios, a driver for MRE Talent, claimed two victories in the two races held in the RFM BeOn Junior Cup category, which is making its national debut this year.

New Season of Spanish Superbike Championship Begins in Jerez

This weekend marked the start of a new season of the Spanish Superbike Championship in Jerez de la Frontera, where Jesus Rios once again demonstrated his high level of skill. At just 16 years old, Rios has already been a national champion in Promo3, Premoto3, and Stock600, and is now participating in a new category created by the Spanish Federation.

Rios Dominates in RFME BeOn Junior Cup

The RFME BeOn Junior Cup held its first two races on Saturday and Sunday on the track named after the legendary Angel Nieto. In both races, the victory went to Jesus Rios, who starts the season as the leader of the Spanish Championship in this category. On Saturday, he was the first to secure the ‘pole’ in the new competition. He took the lead from the start and maintained it until the end, distancing himself from his rivals with each lap.

Competition Heats Up in Second Race

Pablo Olivares came in second after overtaking Iaroslav Karpushin in the final part, who had to settle for third place. On Sunday, in the second race, Pablo Olivares and Pedro Alomar dominated from the start, taking advantage of a poor start by Jesus Rios. The Marbella native had to work hard to climb up the ranks and take the lead, eventually securing another victory. Pedro Alomar came in second and Pablo Olivares third.

New Category Offers Exciting Opportunities

This new category offers riders the chance to ride a Spanish BeOn motorcycle equipped with a 450 cc Yamaha engine. After this great start in the national competition, Jesus Rios is already looking ahead to his debut in the FIM JuniorGP World Championship in Moto3. The first test will take place on April 21 at the Misano circuit in Italy.
