After a balanced first half, the yellow team managed to seal the victory in the second half with a double from Yiyi and a goal from Alexis. The second and third teams met last weekend at the Municipal Antonio Naranjo to try to take advantage of Atlético Marbella Paraíso’s stumble, which had only managed to score one point in their visit to Llano Perchel.
First Half: A Game of Respect and Few Clear Opportunities
The first half was marked by equality, with two teams that respected each other a lot and barely had clear goal opportunities. After a couple of good crosses from Alexis without a finish, Yiyi tried a long shot before the half hour mark that did not trouble the visiting goalkeeper. Marbellí also claimed a possible penalty for a handball in the area after a shot from Marcos Ruiz.
Second Half: Intensity Increases and Goals Start Pouring In
In the second half, Marbellí came out with more intensity and Churre warned from the start with a shot that went high. Yiyi found the net a few minutes later, after a good run down the left wing and beating the goalkeeper with a cross shot (min. 53). After another opportunity, practically followed by Yiyi that Cártama took under the posts, the Cártama team had their best chance in a one-on-one that they managed to shoot between the posts.
Victory Sealed with a Beautiful Lob from Alexis
The sentence came for the locals in the 74th minute, when Juanpe, from the ground, managed to extend the ball to Yiyi to score his second goal of the match. With the match broken, Marbellí would culminate the victory with a good action from Alexis who in the one-on-one against the visiting goalkeeper achieved the third with a beautiful lob.
FC Marbellí Strengthens Its Position in the League
This victory allows Marbellí to consolidate itself alone in second place and to be two points behind Atlético Marbella Paraíso. Next round, the yellow team visits La Cala.
