Areia Restaurant in Marbella Earns New Repsol Sun Award
Pablo Berzosa, chef of Areia restaurant in Marbella, has been awarded a new Repsol Sun. This recognition for Areia, led by Carlos García Mayoralas and Pablo Berzosa, brings the total number of Repsol Suns awarded to Marbella’s gastronomy to nine, spread across eight establishments.
Malaga Province Boasts 27 Repsol Sun Awards
The province of Malaga holds 27 distinctions in the Repsol Guide, contributing to the 74 awards held by Andalusia. Marbella’s gastronomy continues to shine at the highest level, as reflected in the new Repsol Guide, which includes a new addition from the municipality.
Areia Restaurant Joins the Repsol Guide
Areia restaurant, a project of maître Carlos García Mayorales and chef Pablo Berzosa, has been awarded a Repsol Sun. According to the guide, it is an establishment where classicism rules and emphasis is placed on dining room service. Its menu features Rossini sirloin with perigourdine sauce and other icons of classic haute cuisine that are finished at the table, in view of the customer, such as veal shank, Alaska tart, and steak tartar.
Areia Joins Other Repsol Guide Restaurants
This addition joins the restaurants that were already part of the Repsol Guide, led by El Lago with its two Repsol Suns. Kava, La Milla, Leña, Lobito de Mar, Messina, and Ta-Kumi continue with one distinction, joined now by Areia. In total, Marbella has nine Repsol Suns plus ten recommendations.
Malaga Province Adds Two More Recognitions
The province of Malaga adds two recognitions as Palodú, in the capital, also joins the list. In total, there are 21 restaurants: 6 with two Suns and 15 with one Sun, making a total of 27 distinctions, out of the 74 held by Andalusia.
