Marbella City Council Announces Extension of Coastal Path
The Marbella City Council has announced the commencement of work on a new section of the coastal path in the Los Monteros area. The project is set to take place in a location of significant dune value, and the governing team assures that this will be respected, despite previous contrary precedents.
Mayor Visits the Site of the New Project
Mayor Ángeles Muñoz visited the construction site today. The project, which has an investment of 350,000 euros, is expected to be completed in three months. Muñoz pointed out that the work will be carried out on an area of 800 square meters and 250 meters in length. “We continue with our roadmap to connect the promenade so that our citizens can enjoy this wonderful infrastructure,” she noted.
New Section to Extend from Palm Beach to Morera
The new section to be undertaken will extend from the Palm Beach area to Morera. Like the rest of the path, it will feature lighting, urban furniture, and a width of 4 meters. In addition, due to the location’s high natural value because of the dune landscape, environmental recovery and protection measures will be implemented throughout the area.
Mayor Emphasizes the Importance of the Project
Muñoz, who has been mayor for 15 years, reminded that “this work is a priority for our government with the aim that our neighbors and visitors can travel the 27 kilometers of our promenade without any interruption.”
