The Nutcracker Ballet to be Broadcast Live in Marbella Cinemas
The most festive work of universal classical ballet, The Nutcracker, with music by Tchaikovsky, will be performed at The Royal Opera House in London and broadcast live in Marbella cinemas. The premiere will take place on Tuesday, December 12, thanks to the production of Peter Wright, which will once again tour the world.
Special Broadcast in Six Locations in the Province of Malaga
Cinemas in six locations in the province of Malaga will host the performance of this famous ballet through a special broadcast. In Marbella, it can be seen at Red Dog Cinema and Kinepolis La Cañada, as well as in theaters in Coín, Vélez-Málaga, Fuengirola, Malaga, and Rincón de La Victoria. The premiere will be on Tuesday, December 12, at 8:25 p.m. in Spain. The live replay can be seen on Sunday, December 17, at Kinepolis.

The show retains the essence of this lively classical ballet, combining the charm of the fairy tale with spectacular classical dance. The work features the participation of the Royal Ballet dancers, Sophie Allnatt as Clara and Leo Dixon as her enchanted Nutcracker. It tells a Christmas Eve adventure in which they will fight against the Mouse King, dance in the Kingdom of Sweets, and meet the Sugar Fairy and her Prince, played by the Royal Ballet’s principal dancers: Anna Rose O’Sullivan and Marcelino Sambé.

The musical direction will be in charge of Andrew Litton with the Orchestras of the Royal Opera House. The original staging is by Marius Petipa, based on the staging of E.T.A. Hoffman. The live replay of this 170-minute show, with intermissions, can also be seen on Sunday, December 17, in some theaters, including in Marbella. The distribution in Spain is handled by Digital Version.
