Shooting Incident in Marbella Prompts Police Investigation
The area where the shooting took place has been cordoned off by the police. The National Police have launched an investigation to clarify the circumstances surrounding the shooting that occurred on Monday morning in Marbella, specifically in the Puerto Banús area.
Two Individuals Open Fire on a Restaurant
Two individuals on a motorcycle opened fire on a restaurant located on Juan Belmonte Street. According to initial reports, no injuries have been reported.
Daylight Shooting Near Puerto Banús Bullring
The incident took place in broad daylight, shortly after 12:00 PM on Monday, in an area close to the Puerto Banús bullring. Two individuals, who according to witnesses were on a motorcycle used for their escape, fired several shots that hit a well-known restaurant on Juan Belmonte Street.
Damage Reported but No Injuries
The restaurant’s glass windows were damaged, but according to initial reports, no injuries have been reported. National Police officers were dispatched to the scene and have taken over the investigation, with the assistance of the Local Police.
Previous Shooting Incidents in Marbella
On February 10, a man was injured by gunfire on Yedras Street in Marbella, in Nueva Andalucía, a location not too far from today’s incident. The victim suffered injuries to an arm and a leg and was evacuated to the Costa del Sol Hospital. In October 2023, another shooting took place, this time at the Guadalmina Shopping Center, in the heart of San Pedro Alcántara, with two people injured by gunfire.
