A lorry fire has led to the closure of the A-7 motorway in Marbella on the morning of Thursday, 19 December. The incident, which occurred at around 7.45am, took place at kilometre 1041, in the direction of Cadiz.
Traffic Chaos Ensues in Las Chapas Area
The fire has caused significant traffic disruption in the Las Chapas area, resulting in tailbacks stretching up to ten kilometres. Official sources have confirmed that the road is entirely closed and will remain so until the fire on the affected vehicle is fully extinguished.
Emergency Services Respond to Lorry Fire
112 Andalucía, the emergency service control room, has received several calls alerting them to the incident. In response, firefighters from Marbella, officers from the Guardia Civil police, and road maintenance teams have been dispatched to the scene.
