Stolen Bicycles Found in San Pedro Alcántara Estate

The stolen bicycles were found on a property in San Pedro Alcántara. The National Police have recovered 33 bicycles and three scooters in Marbella, in an operation that led to the arrest of one person for their alleged involvement in a continuous theft crime. The value of the stolen items, which were located on a property in San Pedro Alcántara, exceeds 30,000 euros.

Victims Can Identify Their Stolen Items at Marbella Police Station

The confiscated items can be identified by the victims at the National Police Station in Marbella. A photo album has been created with overall and detailed images of each of the seized objects. The aim is for anyone who has suffered a bicycle and/or scooter theft in the town to be able to recognize any of the items on site. To do this, it is necessary to provide a report of the facts or a document, such as a purchase invoice, that justifies ownership. Those possibly affected can go to the police station from Monday to Friday, continuously from 08:00 to 22:00 hours.

Operation “Giro” Initiated Due to Numerous Bicycle Thefts in Marbella

The so-called “Giro” operation, carried out by officers assigned to the Theft Group of the Marbella Police Station, began following a series of bicycle thefts in Marbella through the breaking of locks and chains. During the investigations, the police became aware of the theft of an electric bicycle, valued at 3,000 euros, which was parked at the time of the theft, in an area near a shopping center in Puerto Banús.

Stolen Bicycles and Scooters Found in San Pedro Alcántara Estate

The investigations led the officers to a property in San Pedro Alcántara, where containers are rented out as storage units. At this location, the investigators found the bike that had been stolen in Puerto Banús, as well as 32 other bicycles and three electric scooters, in one of the containers. The value of all the seized items exceeds 30,000 euros. Among them are mountain, road, and electric bicycles, loose wheels, numerous pedals, and other parts, among other belongings.

One Person Arrested for Continuous Theft and Receiving Stolen Goods

So far, five criminal acts have been clarified, with ongoing efforts for the total resolution of the facts, and one person has been arrested for their alleged responsibility in the crimes of continuous theft and receiving stolen goods. The Marbella Court of Instruction number 5 is aware of the facts, according to the information provided by the National Police in a statement.
