Two Detainees from March 11 Marbella Shooting Escape Custody
One of the individuals arrested in connection with the March 11 shooting in Marbella has escaped. This incident mirrors a similar case involving the leader of the Mocro Maffia, who also fled after being arrested and subsequently released.
Arrest and Escape of the Suspects
The two suspects were initially arrested for a daylight shooting at a restaurant in Puerto Banús. They were provisionally imprisoned but were later released by the Provincial Court of Málaga. The Court of Instruction number 1 in Marbella has now issued a search warrant for the two individuals, who were involved in the shooting at a Puerto Banús restaurant on the morning of March 11.
Details of the Arrest and Release
Just two weeks after the incident, on March 25, the police arrested the suspects. After appearing in court, they were provisionally imprisoned on March 27. However, on April 23, the Third Chamber of the Provincial Court of Málaga ordered their release with precautionary measures.
Conditions of Release and Subsequent Escape
Upon their release, the suspects’ passports were confiscated, and they were required to appear in court on the 1st and 15th of each month. They were also prohibited from leaving the country. When they failed to appear in court on the 1st, a search warrant was issued.
Similarity with Another Case
This case bears resemblance to that of the leader of the Mocro Maffia, who was also arrested in Marbella, released by the Málaga Court, and subsequently fled. Both situations have caused significant discontent among National Police officers, who see their work ultimately yielding no results.
Details of the Shooting Incident
The two now-escaped detainees are accused of participating in the shooting at a restaurant in Puerto Banús, located on Juan Belmonte Street. They allegedly arrived on a motorcycle, from which one of them got off and fired at least 15 shots at the restaurant’s glass front, without causing harm to anyone.
