Marbella FC Achieves Historic Victory at Vivar Téllez

Marbella FC achieved the biggest win in its history at Vivar Téllez. The team secured its most significant away victory in the 2ªRFEF and the now-defunct 2ª Division B this Sunday. The white team trounced Vélez 2-6, a team that had been performing well in recent months but fell to a far superior opponent. Never before had the Marbella team scored six goals away from home, and only twice had they won by a four-goal margin with a 0-4 score.

Marbella FC’s Victory Secures Playoff Spot and Makes History

Marbella FC’s victory on Vélez’s field not only ensured the Marbella team’s presence in the category promotion playoff but also made history as the team’s biggest away win. Never before in the now-defunct Second Division B and the current 2ªRFEF had Marbella managed to score six goals, neither at home nor as a visitor. In fact, the result of this Sunday’s away game is the biggest win in the club’s history.

Game Highlights: Hugo Rodríguez and Dago Lead the Charge

At Vivar Téllez, Hugo Rodríguez quickly opened the scoring, and Dago added the second goal half an hour into the game. Before halftime, Gato and Alberto Soto made it 0-4. In a quieter second half, Harper’s double brought the visitor’s score to six, marking the biggest win in Marbella’s history.

Previous Big Wins for Marbella FC

However, the Marbella team had managed to win by a four-goal difference on two occasions, with 0-4 scores against Jumilla and Villanovense. Against the Murcian team, they scored big in the 2015/16 season with doubles from Añón and Sergio Narváez. In the 2017/18 season, the same score was repeated in Villanueva de la Serena with goals from Carlos Julio, Catena, Francis Ferrón, and Sergio Narváez. Additionally, Marbella managed to score five goals away against Ciudad de Lucena in the last match of the 2014/15 season. Alberto Quiles scored three goals, Añón one, and Sergio Narváez one.
