Marbella FC United in Pursuit of Goals
Marbella FC is united in their efforts to achieve their objectives. The classification in Group IV of the 2nd RFEF is tightening in the playoff zone. With 18 points still up for grabs, and with Sevilla Atlético and Yeclano very close to qualification, the rest of the aspiring teams are left with just five points. However, mathematically, there are more teams that still have options. Marbella continues to hold third place with a three-point lead over the sixth-ranked team.
Marbella FC’s Loss Tightens Playoff Race
Marbella FC’s loss on the field of La Unión Atlético has once again tightened the fight for playoff positions. The white team has seen how rivals are closing in from below, while Sevilla Atlético and Yeclano Deportivo are pulling away. The Sevilla subsidiary and the Yecla team won and with 54 and 50 points respectively, they have practically secured their presence in the playoffs. The Sevillians have a 13-point lead over the sixth-ranked team, while Yeclano has a 9-point lead. With 6 games and 18 points still in play, Marbella remains in third position with 46 points.
Marbella FC’s Position Threatened
Although Marbella still has the Murcian team within reach, the Sevilla subsidiary already seems unattainable. Moreover, rather than looking upwards, the Marbella team needs to pay special attention to the teams trailing behind them. Orihuela and Betis Deportivo are only two points behind the whites, so Marbella cannot afford to be complacent if they want to enter the playoff for the category promotion.
Estepona and Águilas in the Fray
Outside of the privileged positions, Estepona appears with 43 points, just one victory away from Marbella. Águilas has lost some momentum in recent rounds and is seventh with 41 points. Despite everything, the playoff is also just one victory away. Balona and UCAM Murcia are also still in the fight, although the inconsistency shown this season does not play in their favor. Both teams are with 36 points, ten behind Marbella and eight from the playoff.
Cádiz Mirandilla and Antoniano Struggling
Further behind are Cádiz Mirandilla and Antoniano, who with 35 points also renounce the surprise, although they are more concerned with definitively distancing themselves from the danger zone, as relegation is only three points away.
