Kuwait to Host Inaugural Marbella Real Estate Expo
Kuwait is set to host its first-ever Marbella Real Estate Expo this spring. The event will feature over 75 property developers, agencies, banks, designers, and lawyers specializing in the sector. The three-day fair is expected to attract around 10,000 attendees.
Expo to Provide Comprehensive Information for Potential Investors
The expo aims to provide Kuwaitis with comprehensive information about properties, fiscal responsibilities, and processes to follow for investing in Marbella. The event’s organizer, Genoveva Rincón, in collaboration with B Management MVM, believes that the exhibition will be attractive to Kuwaitis who have a real interest in investing in Marbella.
Expo Open to All Real Estate Companies
While the fair will primarily focus on the luxury sector, it will also be open to general real estate companies wishing to participate. Rincón encourages companies to seize this opportunity to make contacts and do business, potentially even setting up operations in Kuwait.
Kuwait’s Long-Standing Relationship with Marbella
The relationship between Kuwait and Marbella dates back to the early 1980s when Kuwaitis first started investing in Spain. Every year, hundreds of Kuwaiti tourists spend their summer holidays in Marbella, and the number of Kuwaiti property buyers is increasing annually. Kuwaiti buyers now own more property in Marbella than any other Middle Eastern community.
Improved Air Connections Boost Tourism
Marbella town hall, the Chamber of Commerce, and the Spanish Embassy in Kuwait are involved in the organization of the event. Improved air connections between the two countries have also helped to increase the flow of tourists.
Marbella’s Luxury Services Attract Middle Eastern Tourists
The luxury and quality of Marbella’s exclusive services are the main attraction for Kuwaitis and tourists from the Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar. Tourism from these countries grew by 10 per cent in 2023 compared with 2022. These tourists often stay longer than other tourists, frequenting the most exclusive places and hotels such as Hotel Don Pepe Gran Meliá, Villapadierna, Puente Romano, and Marbella Club.
