New Renovation in Marbella’s Hotel Scene
This renovation adds to the previous ones carried out by other iconic establishments such as Lima, San Cristóbal, and El Fuerte. Now, it’s the turn of the five-star Don Carlos Hotel, which is facing its modernization with an ambitious project.
Details of the Renovation Project
Félix Romero, the city council spokesperson, informed on Tuesday that the license has been granted for the works, in which five million euros will be invested. He detailed that the communal areas will be expanded and the rooms will have open terraces, improvements that will be added to others in terms of energy saving.
Complete Overhaul of the Restaurant
According to Romero, a “comprehensive reform” of the restaurant will also be carried out, in what he defined as an “absolute modernization” of the facilities.
Over 50 Years of History
The Don Carlos Hotel was inaugurated in 1969, so it has more than 50 years of history. The initial project had eight towers of 18 floors, although it was not finally authorized. It was one of the pioneering establishments in Andalusia to promote group tourism, conventions, and congresses.
Ownership and Previous Renovations
In 2006, Selenta Group bought the hotel and began a process of renovating all its spaces.
