The data reveals that a third of British house hunters on the Costa del Sol are eyeing properties in Marbella, with most of these homes valued at over €1 million.
Marbella: A Prime Location for Brits After Madrid and Barcelona
The report further highlights that Marbella is the third most popular city for British property buyers, following Madrid and Barcelona. Nearly 30% of these buyers are looking for properties in Marbella priced between €300,000 and €600,000. Meanwhile, 15% are interested in homes priced between €600,000 to €1 million, and almost a third are looking at properties valued above €1 million.
British and Swedish Buyers Show Increased Interest in Marbella Homes
There has been a significant rise in the number of British and Swedish buyers snapping up homes in Marbella. Other popular locations include Mijas, Malaga, and Estepona, particularly for those looking to spend less than €300,000 on a property.

For Swedish buyers, Marbella is the second most preferred location to buy a house, accounting for a quarter of all purchases. The city is second only to Torrevieja. Alicante is also gaining popularity among those with a more modest budget, with most properties selling for under €300,000.
