Marbella Council Approves Agreement for New Parking and Social Facilities
In a recent move, the Marbella council has given the green light to an agreement with the regional government. This agreement is set to pave the way for the creation of over 600 parking spaces, along with sports and social facilities. The new development will be located adjacent to the África hostel, situated in the Miraflores neighbourhood.
Two-Story Car Park to Benefit Public and Local Residents
The approved initiative will see the construction of a two-story car park. Interestingly, nearly half of this new infrastructure will be dedicated to public parking. The council has set a nominal fee of one euro for a 12-hour parking period, making it an affordable option for visitors and residents alike.
Allocated Spaces for Local Residents and Facility Users
In addition to public parking, the new car park will also feature spaces available for purchase by local residents. This move is expected to ease the parking woes of the neighbourhood’s inhabitants. Furthermore, a portion of the parking spaces will be reserved exclusively for the users of the new sports and social facilities. This thoughtful allocation of spaces ensures that the new development caters to a wide range of needs within the community.
