Marbella Representation in the Andalusian Selection
The Andalusian under-14 team has secured the bronze medal in the Spanish Championship held in Cartuja, Seville. The Andalusian team included seven players from the Marbella Rugby Club: Álvaro Arjona, Gonzalo Fiorito, Alexander Marinof, Aston Martín, Hugo Molinero, Pepe Nogales, and Lucas Sánchez.
Spanish Championship of Autonomous Teams Under-14
Over the past weekend, the sports facilities of Cartuja in Seville hosted the Spanish Championship of Autonomous Teams Under-14. The Marbella Rugby Club was well represented at the event. The Marbella team continues to take pride in its strong youth program. On this occasion, the Marbella RC contributed a total of seven players to the Andalusian selection: Álvaro Arjona, Gonzalo Fiorito, Alexander Marinof, Aston Martín, Hugo Molinero, Pepe Nogales, and Lucas Sánchez. This is yet another testament to the sporting prowess of the Marbella RC’s youth program, which continues to produce young players. Alongside them, Pepe Vázquez also attended as the selection’s coach.
Andalusian Team’s Journey in the National Competition
The Andalusian team began their journey in the national competition by securing two victories in their matches against Catalonia (5-0) and Castilla y León (12-0). However, Andalusia was unable to fully display its potential on the second day of competition and after drawing against the Valencian Community, also fell to Madrid. Despite these two setbacks, the seven players from Marbella RC, along with the rest of the Andalusian team, won the bronze medal in this Spanish Championship. It was a weekend of learning and camaraderie for these young athletes.
