New Urban Regulations in Marbella Now in Effect
The Urban Planning Department of the Marbella City Council has announced that the new urban regulations have come into effect this Thursday. However, the implementation is not complete as it is only a partial approval that was made on December 23rd of last year. The publication of these regulations was made in the Official Bulletin of the Province (Bopma).
Historical Heritage Section Yet to be Approved
The section concerning Historical Heritage is yet to be approved. On December 23rd, the City Council Plenary approved a partial modification of the urban regulations of the General Urban Planning Plan (PGOU) of 1986, which is currently in effect. The document could not be fully approved as the report from the Advisory Council on the Historical Heritage section was missing. Despite this, the PP government team went ahead with the rushed approval. This document has now been published in the Bopma and is in effect.
Full Documentation Approved in January
It was in the plenary held at the end of January when the total documentation was approved. This modification of the urban regulations aimed to adapt them to the current reality and, above all, to make the use of the endowment plots more flexible according to the needs of the population.
New Document Allows for More Flexible Use of Plots
The new document establishes the possibility of combining other uses with those of equipment that favor the planned endowments, contributing to the implementation of activities that complement these services. As for the new planning being carried out, the General Municipal Planning Plan (PGOM) is in the period of responding to allegations.
Urban Planning Plan Underway
As for the Urban Planning Plan (POU), the advance has been prepared so far, which is in the public exhibition phase and suggestions.
