Maria Rodés Joins the ‘Cantos Velados’ Series in Marbella
Maria Rodés, The New Raemon, and Alberto Montero are set to perform at the Hospital Real de la Misericordia in Marbella as part of the ‘Cantos Velados’ series. They will share the stage with poet Alejandro Simón Partal, presenting a mix of songs and readings. The event is organized by the Marbella City Council through the Department of Culture.
Event Details and Unique Experience
The General Director, Carmen Díaz, announced that the performances will take place on Saturdays – February 24, March 16, and April 6, at 8:00 PM. She emphasized that the event will offer the audience a unique and highly creative experience. The intimate and close-knit format of the event will provide the artists with a different dimension from their usual concerts.
Focus on Word and Music
Díaz highlighted the importance of words in the series, where the relationship between song, poem, and music is explored. She added that they always seek musicians with special characteristics for this initiative, coordinated by poet Alejandro Simón Partal. The event has always been well-received by the public, creating an intimate atmosphere suitable for exploring the boundaries of language, poetry, and music.
Performance Schedule
The first ‘Cantos Velados’ performance will be by Maria Rodés on February 24. Díaz noted that Rodés has a broad career, having performed diverse music and is currently touring her latest album ‘Fuimos los dos’, released in 2022. The New Raemon will follow on March 16. He is a singer and musician who has been part of various groups and has also published several comics. His latest artistic work topped the music charts in 2023. The series will conclude on April 6 with Alberto Montero, who has evolved from classical music with a touch of rock to a more pop, brighter, and closer style.
Invitation Collection
Finally, the General Director of Culture highlighted that those wishing to attend must collect invitations, available until the venue reaches full capacity. They can be collected from Monday, February 19, at the Hospital Real de la Misericordia, between 9:00 AM and 2:00 PM.
