Maria del Carmen Medina Shines on “Tierra de Talento”
Maria del Carmen Medina, a 22-year-old from Marbella, has successfully qualified for the challenges on the television program “Tierra de Talento,” broadcast on Canal Sur. On the ninth night of auditions, she advanced in the competition by performing ‘All I ask’ by British singer Adele. She now faces the task of performing a song by Bambino.
Marbella Native with a Passion for Singing
Although currently residing in Granada, Medina hails from Marbella. She recalls always singing from a very young age. She has a particular fondness for musicals, especially Grease. She attended the show accompanied by her parents and brother, who supported and enjoyed her performance.
Impressing the Jury with Adele’s “All I Ask”
Medina was the last to sing on the ninth audition episode of “Tierra de Talento,” and she managed to impress the jury with her rendition of Adele’s “All I ask.” It wasn’t easy, as Antonio Canales, one of the judges, kept the suspense alive by withholding his approval until the last moment. He complimented her on her wonderful voice but noted that she seemed more focused on the judges than on herself.
Qualifying for the Challenges
Despite the initial tension, Medina managed to qualify for the challenges, where she will have to perform a song by Bambino in Spanish, a challenge for her as she prefers singing in English. Pastora Soler, another judge, commented that her performance improved as it progressed and that she had delivered a very personal interpretation of a demanding song.
Feedback from the Jury
Mariola Cantero, another member of the jury, said she “liked it a lot,” but reminded her that the last note was not good. Now, the Marbella native moves on to the second phase, known as the challenges, which will qualify contestants for the semifinals.
Leaving a Lasting Impression
Mari Carmen Medina left a very good impression on a high-level night where all contestants managed to advance to the next phase.
