Flag Raising Ceremony in San Pedro Alcántara for Andalusia Day
Marbella celebrated Andalusia Day with various events, including a flag-raising ceremony at the Deputy Mayor’s Office in San Pedro Alcántara. The official event, which has become a tradition, was accompanied by a musical program in the afternoon.

Marbella City Council Commemorates Andalusia Day
The Marbella City Council commemorated Andalusia Day with the traditional flag-raising ceremony at the Deputy Mayor’s Office in San Pedro Alcántara. The event was attended by Mayor Ángeles Muñoz, Deputy Mayor Javier García, and other members of the government and opposition groups. The Mayor emphasized the pride they feel for their community during this celebration.
Performances and Concerts
Following the flag-raising ceremony, which took place at 11:00 am, the ‘Aires del Sur’ choir performed, followed by ‘Son y Sal’ at the Church Square bandstand. In the afternoon, the IV Andalusian Rock Concert took place at the Paseo de Las Palmeras, featuring the legendary band Tabletom, which has reunited after the death of their previous leader, Rockberto. Also performing was Cristian de Moret, whose distinctive voice is set to fill the shoes of the greats in this genre.
Sports and Celebrations in San Pedro Alcántara
In San Pedro Alcántara, the V Antonio Naranjo Memorial took place, featuring a triangular tournament between UD San Pedro, Marbellí FC, and Atlético Marbella Paraíso.
PSOE Celebrations and Carnival Festivities in Marbella
In Marbella, the PSOE celebrated Andalusia Day as usual in the Divina Pastora neighborhood, where an Andalusian breakfast was served, a floral offering was made, and carnival groups performed. The Vázquez Clavel neighborhood association in the Pilar-Miraflores district also held their carnival party.
City Medals Awarded at Municipal Theater
At the municipal theater, the City Medals were awarded to the National Police, the San Pedro Sports Union, and the Brotherhood of the Virgin of Carmen of Marbella. The carnival also featured prominently with the traditional Chorizada, organized by the Marbella Carnival Cultural Association, in José Rodríguez square.
