CTM Marbella Teams Shine in Provincial League
The Marbella Table Tennis Club has clinched the runner-up position in the Provincial Team League of the Málaga Provincial Council. The teams, sponsored by Pinturas Montó Marbella, competed in the children’s and cadet/junior categories.
Junior Team Secures Second Place
In the cadet/junior category, the team comprising Saúl and Alvin secured the second place. Meanwhile, Cristian Sánchez is set to participate in the National Trail, in addition to representing Andalusia in the upcoming Spanish Championship.
Provincial Team League Results
The Provincial Team League of the Málaga Provincial Council witnessed the cadet/junior team of CTM Marbella ascending to the second step of the podium. Pinturas Montó Marbella competed in two categories. The cadet/junior team of Saúl and Alvin achieved the runner-up position, while the children’s team of Santi, Jesús, and Otto failed to reach the podium in their first competition.
Upcoming Individual Provincial League
The Individual Provincial League of the Málaga Provincial Council is set to commence shortly. Regarding the senior teams, in the Andalusia League, there was a double round with a 5-1 victory over Córdoba, with points from Faramarz Delavari (2), Emanuel Pupins Benji (2), and Antoñito Ruiz (1); and a 2-4 defeat against Málaga.
Superdivision Match Against Sotogrande
In the Superdivision, CTM Marbella faced off against the leader, Sotogrande, at home, conceding a 2-4 defeat. Only Paco Folch and Fran Muñoz managed to score a point each.
Cristian Sánchez Returns to National Category
On another note, Cristian Sánchez returned to play in the national category for his team Portuense in a match that ended in a 3-4 defeat against Bahía de Cádiz. The Marbella player put up a good fight, scoring a point in his matches. The young Cristian has two significant events ahead. He has been called up to compete in the National Trial in Irún, which grants a place for the European Championship in Sweden. He has also been selected to represent the Andalusian team in the Spanish School Age Championship in Alicante.
