Marbella Town Hall Reaffirms Support for Cudeca Foundation

Marbella’s local government has once again pledged its support to the Cudeca Foundation. The foundation has been instrumental in providing home palliative care to 175 individuals in Marbella in 2024. A new agreement has been signed by Mayor Ángeles Muñoz and Assumpta Eceiza, the head of general services of the organization, which includes a grant of 20,000 euros. This funding is intended to ensure the continuation of the assistance programs in the town and to cover operational expenses.

Mayor Praises Cudeca Foundation’s Efforts

Mayor Muñoz, accompanied by Isabel Cintado, the councillor for social rights, highlighted the significant contributions made by the foundation in the town. The foundation has been a pillar of support for patients suffering from cancer and other diseases, as well as their families. Cintado noted that the palliative care program offered by the foundation brings dignity and peace to the patients. She also stressed the vital psychological support extended to the patients’ families and friends.

Cudeca Foundation Grateful for Financial Support

Eceiza expressed her gratitude to the town hall for its financial backing, stating it was crucial in towns where they run home care programs. She further explained that their teams offer not only medical care but also the much-needed psychological and social support to both patients and their families. She pointed out the increasing need for their services due to the growing ageing population.
