Nightly Roadworks on A7 Motorway to Affect Traffic Until Friday

Traffic along the A7 motorway between Fuengirola, Mijas, and Marbella will be affected at night until Friday. The Ministry of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda (Mitma) is conducting road surface rehabilitation works on the A-7 Mediterranean dual carriageway. The affected stretch is between kilometres 1,013.145 and 1,041.230, covering the municipalities of Fuengirola, Mijas, and Marbella.

Roadworks Scheduled During Off-Peak Hours to Minimize Disruption

The roadworks are scheduled to take place at night, between 10pm and 6am, to avoid causing major disruptions during peak daytime hours. The works will continue until next Friday, July 7. Given the nature of the dual carriageway, it is not feasible to provide alternative routes while the planned works are underway. However, the left lane will remain open for vehicle traffic during this period. Normal lane usage will be restored during the day.

Road Surface Rehabilitation Works to Continue Weekly Until August 2023

The planned works are set to continue on a weekly basis throughout the months of July and August 2023. The road surface rehabilitation works include the repainting of road markings and road resurfacing.

Marbella’s Dining Scene Gets a Boost Amidst Roadworks

In other news, Marbella’s dining scene is also seeing some exciting developments. The popular celebrity hotspot restaurant, The Oak, has relaunched in Puerto Banus. Additionally, Marbella’s most successful restaurant, La Sala, has undergone a substantial upgrade. Despite the ongoing roadworks, these developments promise to keep the city’s culinary scene vibrant and exciting.
