Ana Belén Stars as Juliet in Marbella Theatre Production
Ana Belén will be playing Juliet in a play that will be showcased in Marbella. The City Theatre of Marbella will resume its programming from October 14th, featuring a total of 16 performances and a commitment to establishing a family audience. Renowned actresses such as Ana Belén and Kiti Mánver will grace the stage. The venue has undergone a renovation, including a stage refurbishment and modernization of sound and lighting.
Local Guitarist Juan de Lola to Open Autumn Program
Local guitarist Juan de Lola will kick off the autumn program on October 14th at 8:00 PM, with the show ‘Triana, 40 years of legend’, a tribute to the most representative group of Andalusian rock. The offerings for the adult audience will continue on November 3rd with the play ‘Romeo and Juliet awaken…’, featuring actress Ana Belén as the lead.
Upcoming Performances and Local Talent
On November 10th, the play ‘The Inconvenience’ will bring actress Kiti Mánver to the stage. On November 25th, ‘The Executioner’ by the Malaga company El Espejo Negro, the first adaptation of Luis García Berlanga’s film to theatre, will be performed. The schedule also includes quality local and provincial proposals, such as ‘Solita, Star Woman’, a musical show by LaPili company, winner of the Ateneo de Málaga 2022 Award, which will arrive in Marbella on November 11th. The Marbella Dance School gala will also take place on November 18th.
Jazz Performance and Flamenco Festival
A jazz performance, ‘Cabaret. Tribute 50th anniversary the musical’, by Gypsy Company, will conclude their tour with two performances on December 2nd and 3rd in the city. The program also includes the XVII Flamenco Festival, an annual event organized by the Sierra Blanca Club, which will take place on October 28th.
Family-Friendly Shows
Regarding family-friendly shows, the first proposal will be on October 15th at 6:00 PM, by the Trecandís company, presenting ‘Journey to Oz’. On October 29th, ‘The Well of a Thousand Demons’ by Karlix Dance-theatre; on November 5th, ‘The New Little Prince’ by Bric-Abrac; and on November 19th, ‘Aires, Leaves in the Wind’ by the Piero Partigianoni Poetic Clown company.
December Performances
The calendar will conclude on December 16th with ‘Adventures and Misadventures of a Space Israeli’, a rock opera by local artist Eneko Alberdi. On December 17th, the giant puppet show ‘The True Story of the Lying Ghost’ by El Cau de L’Unicorn, and on December 30th, ‘Once Upon a Time in the Forest’ by Gypsy Company.
