The forum will take place from June 26 to 28 at the Andalucía Lab facilities in Marbella, with free admission and the support of both the City Council and the Regional Government. “Startup OLÉ” originated in Salamanca, where it has been bringing together entrepreneurs and investors for ten years, and will now also reach the Costa del Sol.

The event was presented today at the Royal Hospital of Mercy with the presence of the Director General of Entrepreneurship Promotion and Continuous Training of the Regional Government of Andalusia, Francisco Javier González, and the CEO and founder of Startup OLÉ, Emilio Corchado. The mayor, Ángeles Muñoz, was also present, highlighting that the choice of the municipality “is further proof of its significant potential in a booming niche.”

The meeting will include, among others, investor and corporation forums on cybersecurity, accelerators, impact, and universities. It will also feature exclusive content with great speakers in round tables and plenary talks, a startup fair, pitch competition, business rounds, and networking activities.
Startup Scene in Andalusia
Francisco Javier González emphasized that there are “about 3,000 startups in Andalusia, which represents approximately 12 percent of the national total.” “We understand that this fair is key because it is an opportunity to make oneself known and to connect with different investors, as well as to have the opportunity to acquire knowledge about new trends,” he stated.
Public and Private Sector Support
Emilio Corchado, CEO and founder of Startup OLÉ, added that this event has the backing of both the public and private sectors. In the public sector, the Marbella City Council, the Regional Government of Andalusia, Andalucía Lab, the National Institute of Cybersecurity (INCIBE), and the University of Salamanca. The strong support of the private sector is reflected in the support and participation of major investors and corporations.
Startup OLÉ: A Major Platform for Entrepreneurs
Startup OLÉ “is a great platform, one of the largest entrepreneurship events in Spain and Europe with more than ten years of history and 5 in Latin America, which allows us to penetrate markets such as the American (Miami).” In addition, Startup OLÉ Marbella will also be the first International Technological Entrepreneurship Fair of the CIBER-SHUBE project. This year there will be an event in Miami (April 15 and 16), followed by the summer event in Marbella and concluding with the usual one in Salamanca (October 8 to 10).
