Tragic Motorcycle Accident on A-7 Motorway Claims Life of Italian Man
In a tragic turn of events, an Italian man lost his life and his passenger sustained serious injuries when their motorcycle veered off the A-7 motorway during a police chase. The incident occurred after Marbella Local Police spotted the two men, aged 44 and 45, on a black motorcycle near the scene of a luxury watch theft in Puerto Banus.
Police Chase Leads to Fatal Accident
Upon noticing the men, officers approached them to request their identification. However, instead of complying, the men sped off onto the A-7 motorway, prompting a police chase. The pursuit proved challenging due to a dense traffic jam on the motorway.
Motorcycle Crash at km 175,500 of the A-7
Once the police reached km 175,500 of the A-7, they discovered a traffic accident involving the two Italians. The driver of the motorcycle was pronounced dead at the scene, while his passenger was severely injured.
Passenger Hospitalized and Under Police Guard
The injured passenger is currently receiving treatment at Costa del Sol Hospital and is under police guard. Investigations revealed that the motorcycle they were riding had a false number plate, adding another layer of complexity to the case.
