Gun-Wielding Thugs Face Justice in Malaga Court
Two armed criminals who engaged in a high-speed car chase and subsequent shooting in Manilva’s streets have been sentenced to two years in prison. The Malaga court found them guilty of firing at a man from a distance after a dangerous car chase on the Costa del Sol in November 2018.
High-Speed Chase Ends in Gunfire
The court heard that the criminals chased their victim along the A-7, engaging in a prolonged and dangerous high-speed pursuit. The chase ended dramatically when the two cars collided near a residential area in Manilva. The criminals then approached their victim and fired several shots at him using a long-distance gun and a smaller pistol.
Shots Fired, But No Injuries Reported
Despite the hail of bullets, the victim escaped unscathed as the shots were fired from a long distance. The criminals then fled the scene, leaving the victim to be rushed to a nearby medical centre.
Investigation Reveals Pre-Meditated Crime
An investigation by Spanish police revealed that the pair, who did not possess the required license for their firearms, had planned the crime. They were charged with several offenses, including possession of illegal firearms and driving charges. The court heard that the victim, who cannot be named due to legal reasons, had a previous disagreement with the criminals.
Criminals Admit to Involvement in Shooting
Both men confessed to their involvement in the shooting during the court proceedings. One of the defendants admitted to being addicted to cocaine and alcohol. They were each sentenced to two years in prison.
