Firefighters Respond to Blaze at Marbella’s Sports Port
Firefighters were called to action on Wednesday afternoon to swiftly extinguish a fire at a nightclub located in Marbella’s ‘Virgen del Carmen’ Sports Port. The incident caused a thick cloud of smoke, creating some alarm and a burnt smell in the area, although no personal injuries were reported.
Details of the Incident
The incident occurred around 18:00 hours on Wednesday, according to eyewitnesses, when a fire broke out at the Sports Port of Marbella. Specifically, the fire affected the Tequila nightclub, a nightlife venue that was not yet open at the time. The fire, which originated in the establishment’s warehouse, created a smoke cloud in the area, spreading the smell of burning to the nearby streets.
Swift Response from Firefighters and Local Police
The firefighters’ response was quick in controlling the flames and they later used a fan to clear the smoke. Local police officers also attended the scene. Fortunately, no personal injuries were reported.
