Record Number of Self-Employed Workers in Marbella Since January 2023
The month of February has brought encouraging employment figures for the municipality of Marbella, one of which is a new all-time high in the number of self-employed workers. This surpasses the previous record set in September of the previous year, and it is highly likely that this number will continue to rise with the arrival of summer.
Recovery After a Tough January
After a challenging January, which saw a significant loss of jobs, February has marked a return to the positive trend that had been previously observed.
New Record Set with 14,463 Self-Employed Workers
Marbella has set a new record with 14,463 self-employed workers, adding 144 new self-employed workers in February alone. This is the highest figure in the historical series, which spans the last 22 years, surpassing the previous record set in September 2023 (14,441).
Breaking the 14,000 Barrier for the First Time
In April, the 14,000 barrier was broken for the first time with the addition of 182 new self-employed workers, setting a monthly record. After reaching a historical high after the summer, and despite several decreases, a new record has now been set.
579 More Self-Employed Workers Than Last Year
There are 579 more self-employed workers than there were a year ago, indicating the growth of entrepreneurship in the municipality.
