New Pediatric Unit Opens at Quirónsalud Marbella Hospital
Quirónsalud Marbella Hospital has inaugurated a new Pediatric Unit this Tuesday. The unit, which includes a consultation area and an emergency service, is located in the Singlehome building. The event was attended by various authorities and marks the hospital as the only private center offering these services on the western coast of Málaga.

Tour of the New Facilities
The attendees were given a tour of the new facilities led by the Head of Pediatrics, Adelaida Sánchez Bacallao, and the hospital management. They were able to see first-hand the technological equipment and care circuits that the new emergency and pediatric consultation area offers. These services have been available to patients since last Thursday.

She noted that the inauguration of these facilities is the first phase of a major expansion project for the Quirónsalud group in Marbella, which includes pediatrics in this initial period.
Future Developments
The next steps will include the launch of the Nursing area, Diagnostic Imaging, and an area that will occupy four floors of the building where healthcare will be organized in consultations, medical and surgical, and the consequent hospital activity derived.

María Ángeles Muñoz, Mayor of Marbella, closed the interventions. She highlighted the significant expansion in Marbella, with more than 500 square meters inaugurated in a building that will be dedicated to healthcare with 9,000 square meters.
Services Offered by the Pediatric Unit
The Pediatric Unit of Quirónsalud Marbella Hospital offers 24-hour Emergency care throughout the year. It is the only private center offering this service from Málaga to Los Barrios. The Emergency Service attends to children from birth to 14 years old presenting any pathology, thanks to the extensive experience of the professionals who integrate it.
Completely Digitalized System
The new Emergency and Pediatric Consultation area is born with a completely digitalized system at the service of the patient, enabling the complete management of their health procedures through the Mi Quirónsalud mobile application. This digital portal allows patients to make appointments with specialists, download medical reports, and even anticipate their self-admission to avoid going through the counters upon arrival at the medical facilities. It also houses their medical history, including all their medical reports and diagnostic tests.
