Located in Marbella, the port precinct boasts the highest concentration of luxury stores in Spain, second only to Madrid’s Golden Mile. The marina, stretching over two kilometers, houses around a hundred establishments featuring internationally coveted fashion brands.
Boosting Marbella’s Economy
The turnover of 282 million euros has had a significant impact on job creation and revenue generation for the city of Marbella, according to Civitas Puerto Banús. Almost all luxury brands are present, including Bvlgari, Rolex, Loro Piana, Dior, Hermès, Luis Vuitton, Loewe, Saint Laurent, Carolina Herrera, Dolce Gabbana, Valentino, Jimmy Choo, Bottega Veneta, and more.
Puerto Banús: A Historic Tourist Attraction
With over 50 years of history, Puerto Banús is a renowned marina and a popular tourist and entertainment destination both nationally and internationally. According to data from consulting firm PwC, it attracts an average of 5 million visitors per year and contributes 954 million euros annually to the Costa del Sol’s GDP.
Striving for Sustainability
With 915 berths and over 200 commercial premises, the precinct initiated a strategic shift in 2018 to become a leading European port in terms of sustainability and environment. It has earned the Blue Flag and was recognized by the Sustainability Observatory last September as one of the ports that best meets sustainability goals.
Future Plans for Puerto Banús
Puerto Banús is currently in the process of applying for a concession until the initially set term of 99 years, which means until 2067.
