Marbella Delegation Attends Fitur Tourism Fair in Madrid
A delegation from Marbella, including councilors, general directors, and advisors, has traveled to Madrid to attend the Fitur Tourism Fair. The People’s Party (PP) has not spared any expenses for this type of event, even though they do not have their own exhibitor. A significant number of municipal technicians have also attended the event.
Marbella Presents Upcoming Events for 2024 at Fitur
The first day of Fitur saw a flurry of presentations from the Marbella City Council, showcasing a variety of events for 2024 related to tourism. In the religious sector, the poster for Holy Week was presented, as well as the jubilee year and the canonical coronation of the Virgin of Carmen, the city’s patron saint.
Marbella Announces Major Sporting Events
In sports, the World Championship of Ironman 70.3, which will take place in 2025, and the celebration in Puerto Banús of the E1, the electric formula 1 of the sea, were announced.
Marbella Beaches Receive Quality and Sustainability Certifications
Mayor Ángeles Muñoz received the ‘Q’ Quality and ‘S’ Sustainability certifications from the Spanish Institute of Tourist Quality (ICTE) for Marbella’s beaches.
Marbella Showcases Upcoming Cultural Events
The Starlite festival, the ‘Marbella Fashion Show’, scheduled for July 4 and 5 on Lola Flores Avenue in Puerto Banús, and the ‘World Wellness Weekend’ initiative were also presented.
Marbella Delegation in Madrid
The Marbella City Council sent a delegation of about ten political figures to Madrid. Along with the mayor, four other councilors attended: Javier García, Yolanda Marín, Chela Figueira, and Lisandro Vieytes. In addition, general directors Laura de Arce (Marbella Tourism), Rubén Sánchez (San Pedro Tourism) and Hugo Simón (Communication), and advisor Javier Mérida were present. They were accompanied by a significant number of City Council technicians to do fieldwork.
Marbella’s Presence at Fitur
This year, Marbella does not have its own exhibitor, but has a space in the Andalusia pavilion, where it is integrated for the first time.
