Marbella’s Hotel Industry Tourism Sees a Rise in November, Yet Lower Than Previous Years

The month of November saw an increase in hotel tourists and overnight stays in the municipality of Marbella compared to the same month in 2022. However, both figures are lower than those of 2021 and 2019. The arrival of foreign visitors supports these numbers, with an occupancy rate of 54.50%, similar to last year, but also lower than in 2021.

Positive Trend in Hotel Visitors, But Lower Than Pre-Pandemic Levels

The data reflects a positive trend in the number of visitors staying in hotels, although it does not reach the figures of 2021 or even those of the last year prior to the pandemic, 2019. The Hotel Occupancy Survey (EOH) from the National Institute of Statistics (INE) for November generally shows good data compared to 2022. It was a month with good weather and quite high temperatures, which facilitated, above all, the arrival of foreigners.
